Lake Louisa State Park offers a unique blend of natural beauty, diverse ecosystems, and a variety of terrains that appeal to outdoor enthusiasts. Trails that wind through 11 distinct natural communities, including sand hills, swamp forests, creeks, and lakes. This variety provides runners with a dynamic and ever-changing environment, keeping the experience fresh and engaging. The event being over Thanksgiving weekend runners can come burn off all that food and enjoy running during temperatures in the 70's.

Details
We have designed a 17.1 miles loop course that mixes all types of trails through the park with wooded hard packed single track, open grass, sandy hills and shell rock gravel roads. Start location is the open fields back by the campground, which is perfect for camping the night before and after the run.

What We Provide

Waivers
Each runner must print and sign this waiver and bring it to the check-in. Waiver will also be at check-in to sign.

Rules
No cutting of the designed course. All flags must be punched to receive credit for the entire course. Details in pre-race email. Listen and follow all instructions from race staff / medical personnel during the race. Be courteous to other runners and day hikers.
Crew access at the start/finish area only. No littering. Take in, take out. The Race Director has the sole discretion of the administration of any violations of the race rules ranging from a time penalty, up to and including disqualification. No Pacers allowed in the event. Trekking poles allowed.
Cancellations and Transfers
We understand that things happen. No refunds will be issued; however, you may transfer your entry to another racer in the same event without a penalty until 5 days before the event. You are responsible for finding a person interested in buying your entry as well as working out payment with them. Entries do not transfer to other events nor do they transfer year to year.
