ADVENTURE RACING SAMPLE MAPS

To help you prepare for race day, we have provided sample maps and instruction sheets below. Reviewing these materials will help you get acclimated to our mapping style and the format of the course instructions you will receive at the start of the event.

O
Sample Course Instructions

To get a feel for how our race is structured, you can review this sample set of course instructions. These documents are provided to teams on race day to guide them through the competition’s format and requirements. On this document, you will find:

Safety Protocols: Emergency contact information and specific gear requirements, such as mandatory use of life vests, bike helmets, and blinking rear lights.

Race Format: Details on the race structure, including the time limit and how penalties are assessed for exceeding it.

Navigation & Transitions: Instructions on how to manage your team’s progress, including how to handle punch cards at Transition Areas (TAs), team separation rules, and the procedures for collecting Control Points (CPs) across different disciplines like trekking, biking, and paddling.

Sample Maps

At all of our adventure races, teams are provided with pre-plotted maps. We distribute these maps and detailed instructions two hours before the start of each race.

What to Expect: "Pre-plotted" means that all Transition Area (TA) and checkpoint locations are already marked on your map, so your team does not need to use a UTM plotter to locate them.
