Half and Full Marathons

Amicalola Falls State Park hosts both the Full and Half Marathon routes, offering miles of scenic trails suited to all fitness levels. Runners travel through lush forests, alongside creeks, and past breathtaking views of the 729-foot Amicalola Falls—the tallest cascading waterfall in Georgia. The full marathon consists of two 13.1-mile loops, each including the famous 605 steps of the Appalachian Approach Trail. With a well-marked course and a mix of singletrack and gravel paths, this race delivers both challenge and beauty in one unforgettable mountain experience.

The Full and Half Marathon routes take place in the famous Amicalola Falls State Park, home to miles of scenic trails that cater to a variety of fitness levels and preferences. Runners will wind through lush forests, alongside bubbling creeks, and past breathtaking Georgia views featuring spectacular waterfalls, overlooks, and mountain vistas, including stunning views of the 729-foot Amicalola Falls—the tallest cascading waterfall in Georgia. The course is composed of 83% singletrack and 17% gravel or paved surfaces, includes iconic climbs such as tackling the Appalachian Approach Trail steps twice in front of the falls, and features clearly marked routes for easy navigation. Participants benefit from a generous 7-hour time cutoff (16:01/mi pace), two fully stocked aid stations with food, drinks, and medical support, professional media coverage with free race photos and videos, real world-class metal medals, custom awards for Overall, Masters, and Age Group categories, and quality race swag including a high-quality athletic shirt.

Each runner must print and sign this waiver and bring it to the check-in.


Refund Policy: We understand things happen. No refunds will be issued. However, you may transfer your entry to another racer in the same event without a penalty until 5 days before the event. You are responsible for finding a person interested in buying your entry as well as working out payment with them. Entries do not transfer to other events nor do they transfer year to year. If you would like to sell or transfer your entry to another racer, you may do so from within your UltraSignup account: How to edit your race registration.
