DETAILS
The race starts at the west end of the Withlacoochee Bay Trail at the pavilion. Runners will then travel 12 miles on the Withlacoochee Bay Trail to the Lake Rousseau Dam and Recreational Area. Next comes 20 miles of power-line trails along Lake Rousseau to connect with the Florida Trail south of Dunnellon. The route continues for 50 miles on the beautiful Florida Trail through the Cross Florida Greenway. South of Silver Springs, at the edge of the Ocala National Forest, runners will encounter 20 miles of dirt roads before reconnecting with the Florida Trail. From there, the course heads north for 60 miles through the rolling hills of the Ocala National Forest, widely considered the most scenic section of the Florida Trail. Once in Palatka, runners face the hardest portion of the race: 20 miles on the new Rails-to-Trails route to St. Augustine, followed by 10 miles of road to the finish at the St. Augustine Beach Pier.
